Deborah Means

Hello My Name Is...

Deborah Means

I'm a native Atlantan who comes from a family of educators. I am a product of the Atlanta Public School system.  I furthered my education at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama where I received my Bachelor of Science degree. I completed the Teacher Certification program at Georgia State University and later received my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University in Atlanta.

I've taught elementary school aged children for many years in Atlanta Public Schools and in Cobb County and worn many hats.  I've been a regular classroom teacher, a reading recovery specialist and an ESOL teacher.
My hobbies include bike riding, jigsaw puzzles, and aqua zumba. I'm a member of the distinguished Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in which I enjoy participating in various service projects and humanitarian efforts to enhance the community.
I look forward to embarking upon this new journey in the Douglas County School system.
